Second Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports: The crowning of the national team in the Asian Cup is the result of an integrated sports vision and sustainable support
His Excellency Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Second Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, stressed that the national handball team's victory in the Asian Men's Championship for the first time in its history is a qualitative achievement that reflects the technical and organizational maturity of Bahraini sports, and embodies the support it enjoys from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. His Excellency pointed out that this continental achievement is the result of cumulative work, institutional planning and close cooperation between the various authorities concerned with sports affairs, stressing that the successive successes of the national teams are evidence of the integrated strategy for the development of sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Excellency Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa praised the distinguished efforts made by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and the continuous follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
His Excellency praised the high spirit and technical discipline shown by the players of the national team throughout the tournament, praising the efforts of the Bahrain Handball Federation and the technical and administrative staff, stressing that this crowning represents a new starting point to continue achieving achievements and raising the flag of the Kingdom of Bahrain in regional and international sports forums.
