His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), emphasized that youth are the nation’s real asset and a key driver of progress, with their energy and creativity. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed pride in the young people of Bahrain and their achievements, underpinned by the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the continued involvement and attention of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS. Marking International Youth Day, observed annually on August 12th, His Highness noted that the Kingdom’s leadership has provided youth with full support and care, ensuring their empowerment and active participation in building the present and shaping the future. This has been achieved through a series of programs and initiatives that have strengthened youth presence across all domains of national development. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa commended Youth City 2030, which offers more than 100 diverse training programmes aimed at preparing a generation capable of contributing to sustainable development efforts in the Kingdom, empowering young people, and driving change. Youth City 2030 stands as a distinguished global model reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to developing youth across various sectors. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted that the GSA and the BOC place youth at the heart of their strategies, in line with the vision of the SCYS under the leadership of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The GSA and the BOC Consistently committed to help youth achieve their goals by improving the sports sector, enhancing champions and sports leaders who will raise the Kingdom’s flag at international arenas.
