The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports praises the continental achievement of Bahraini handball
His Excellency Mr. Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, stressed that the crowning of the national handball team with the title of the Asian Men's Championship for the first time in its history represents a historic achievement and a milestone in the march of the game, and embodies the volume of institutional work and integration between sports entities, and at the same time reflects the great support that Bahraini sports enjoy from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect him, and the directives of His Highness Royal Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is keen to promote the sports sector and enhance its competitiveness.
His Excellency praised the pivotal role played by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in supporting and developing the sports sector and creating the appropriate environment for making achievements, stressing that this continental crowning is the result of His Highness's support and strategic vision to promote Bahraini sports. He also expressed his appreciation for the great efforts made by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, in supporting team sports, including handball, and enhancing the ability of national teams to compete on the continent and internationally.
Al-Moayyed praised the outstanding technical levels provided by the national team players throughout the tournament, the great efforts of the technical and administrative staff, and the prominent role of the Bahrain Handball Federation, stressing that this achievement is a motivation to continue building and achieving more successes at the continental and international levels.
