SCYS Secretary General Marks Arab Youth Day with Call for Investment in Youth Talent

His Excellency Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al Moayed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), highlighted that Arab Youth Day, observed annually on July 5th , is an important occasion to recognize the pivotal role of youth in advancing national development, and to celebrate the energy and potential of Bahrain and Arab youth who have demonstrated their competence, capacity for positive change, and leadership in shaping the future. His Excellency Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al Moayed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), highlighted that Arab Youth Day, observed annually on July 5th , is an important occasion to recognize the pivotal role of youth in advancing national development, and to celebrate the energy and potential of Bahrain and Arab youth who have demonstrated their competence, capacity for positive change, and leadership in shaping the future. H.E. Al Moayed said that youth in the Kingdom receive the full attention and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, who holds an unwavering belief in Bahraini youth as a reliable national asset. His Majesty considers their empowerment and preparation as a cornerstone of national priorities. H.E. noted the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has placed youth development at the centre of the government’s programme, by enabling them, enhancing their skills, opening pathways to leadership, and developing an environment that supports innovation and creativity. H.E. Al Moayed also highlighted the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, which focuses on sustained support, encouragement, and empowerment of youth. H.E. noted that this reflects a firm belief that young people represent the nation’s greatest asset and the driving force behind its progress, and that investing in their potential is key to securing a brighter and more prosperous future for Bahrain. H.E. the Secretary-General expressed pride in the achievements of Bahraini and Arab youth across various regional and international platforms, noting their determination to turn challenges into opportunities. His Excellency encouraged young people to remain committed to self-development, perseverance, and continuous effort, as these are essential to realizing a successful future. H.E. also commended the joint Arab efforts to empower youth and expand their role through programmes and initiatives that unify goals, build experience, and enhance their positive impact across the region. H.E. noted that these efforts lay the groundwork for strategic cooperation, support youth participation in various sectors, and help prepare a generation ready to lead future progress.
