Talal Al Absi
President of the Young Diplomats Association in London
During the elections called by the Young Diplomats Association in London to form the new executive team of the Association, Counselor Talal Ibrahim Al-Absi, a diplomat at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom, was able to win the position of President of the Society and form its executive management team, becoming the first Gulf diplomat to win the elections for the presidency of the Society since its establishment seventeen years ago.
The Young Diplomats Association was established in London in 2008 with the aim of strengthening relationships between young members of diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited to the UK by organising cultural and social events and activities, promoting understanding and friendship between peoples, and contributing to the integration of new diplomats into the British political, social and cultural scene.
The victory of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in London under the presidency of the Society reflects the intensive activity carried out by the diplomats of the Embassy through their participation in the activities and events held in the British capital, London, both official and unofficial, as well as the trust that diplomats of brotherly and friendly countries place in Bahraini diplomats.
Mr. Talal Al Absi, Counsellor at the Embassy, thanked His Excellency Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, for the support he received, as well as to the young members of the Society.
