In January 2025, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa — Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports — inaugurated the Nasser bin Hamad (NBH) Loop, a 50-kilometer-long track. This pathway stands out for its modern design based on top international standards, making it a safe and comfortable route for cycling, walking, and running enthusiasts. It serves as an ideal destination for both professional and amateur cyclists, offering a secure environment that supports long-term physical and mental well-being. A key feature of this pathway is the “Hawa” project, developed by the company Estidama. It aims to supply users of the pathway with drinking water through advanced technology that extract moisture from the air and converts it into clean, drinkable water.
